Re: AMEX Question

NRB

Tickets would be around the $6-700 range. Round trip Hawaii.   I mean AMEX might authorize it but $2400-$2800 is a fair bit above the $1k limit they have. The problem with spacing them out from what I've seen is you can't buy the seats together and the seats are for me, spouse and 2 young children. I don't want split seating. Unless I'm unaware of some way to get all the seats together.

Re: AMEX Question

If you book tickets individually, you can ask Delta to combine them into one PNR in case of IRROPS.  As far actual seat assignment, unless they are Basic Economy tickets, you can pick your seats at booking and can change them online or in the app at any point later.

Add a couple days to your request time OP - the 3x becomes eligible at 61 days, not 60, and with a decline, the wait is an additional 91 days, not 90.

And to correct things above, that should be a “thank you ma’am” Smiley Wink

It's only another 90 days if you're denied for credit reasons. If you're denied because you submitted a request too early, then you're fine. I was denied several times due to asking too early and then BAM! I was approved for a CLI a few weeks later. I'm still mad at myself for low balling it... I'm sure I could've gotten way more than $5,000 (I started at $1,800).

I think I've found the sacred map that may lead me to this garden everyone keeps talking about.

Re: AMEX Question

^^^ good point and correct. As for your increase, 3x is the limit so you faced a max new limit of $5400 - you didn’t miss out on much.

Re: AMEX Question

I have an Amex Gold over 25 years, and a CSR is my newest card, but Chase UR rewards benefits are better so I use the CSR for everything and payoff my card balance every payday.

Just pick a card (I'd go with chase) and use it alot. Building your credit profile is a marathon, not a sprint!
