Have an offer to upgrade AMEX Everyday to Everyday Preferred. Offer is 40k MR points if $2k spent in next 3 months. Two questions:
1) How solid of an offer is this? I can hit the spend no problem and current offer to sign up for Everyday Pref seems to only be 15k MR so seems like a no brainer right?
2) How solid are AMEX offers in general as in, no hard pull, anyway I request it and get denied?
I also know, but just confirming, if I take this offer, I can no longer receive a sign up bonus in future for Everyday Pref correct?
It's a done deal, you just have to accept. There shouldn't be a HP since you're only converting the card. No, you won't be eligible for a SUB in the near future unless you downgrade and they offer you a new upgrade.

@Anonymous ^^^ This ![]()

I accepted this very same offer a few months ago. My upgrade was approved immediately, and I received my replacement card in the mail roughly one week later. No hard inquiry, and the 40k bonus points posted 3 days after I completed the minimum spend.
Best signup offer I ever saw on that card was 30K, so a 40K upgrade offer is pretty awesome.
