AMEX backdate member since help!

So I got my first AMEX card in 1995 (a charge card) and basically closed it in 2003 due to the annual fee.

Now I learned about how AMEX backdates the member since date and I called them up and they weren't able to find any previous AMEX cards under my SSN and only found my current BCE that I just received last month. The old account from 1995 still shows up on my credit report (EXperian only).

So I told the Customer Service rep that and she transferred me to AMEX credit beareau unit and after providing the credit beaurea agent what it said on my credit report about the account, she asked for the account number listed on that Experian report and then told me she's going to remove it as it shouldn't be there and that it an error.

Then she told me to talk to customer service even when I told CS told me to talk to them. What should I do??

Try calling AMEX Research and Recovery to confirm you had an account with them in 1995. 1 800 700 7619

Tried that number. Pressed "0" and it went to some voicemail and told me the voicemail is full and to try back later?

Where did you get that number?

Automated machine asked for my account number put me on hold for 5 mins and then told me voicemail is full and hung up.

And did this three times.
