AMEX closing date question

My BCE closes on the 20th (tommorrow). Is it possible to PIF tommorrow and have a zero balance report, or would it have to be done today?

Thanks!

Re: AMEX closing date question

They usually recommend a couple days in advance as payments can take a couple of days to post.  I recommend calling them

Re: AMEX closing date question

I agee, you should call. IMO, and from my personal experience, when I pay online, the credit available immediately changes, and I receive a payment confirmation a couple of hours later. But I like to do it a couple of days early, because it usually takes at least 24hours for the payment to be reflected on line. That way, I know that whatever is online is what's being reported.

Re: AMEX closing date question

Right-o, I'll probably just PIF in the morning and see how it goes since it's a revolver and not a charge. It will also be the first statement, so I'm really not even sure if AMEX will report to the CBs this go round.
