Re: AMEX does blacklist...

Worse then that, I have gotten 3 "pre-approvals" from them and they cancled my card 4 years ago after I went into DMP.  I was never late.  When I first started the DMP, I was also on a very tight budget and there were times when I could have used the AE card to get me through to payday.  I didnt see it that way then but I consider myself lucky now that i didnt get to keep the card and made it through those really hard budget times.

They wanted me to waste a INQ so they can deny me.  Or they are hard up for the $85 anual fee.

Re: AMEX does blacklist...

Do you know what I think of when I see posts about Amex, and how they treat people?

Have you seen the Staples Office commercial where the little guy is at the copy machine/printer and it runs out of ink, and he goes into panic mode saying "postpone lunch! No, don't eat lunch. No! Cancel lunch. I need room to think! Back off people!!!! AAAHHHHHHHH! The girl pushes the big red Staples button, an he gets rotated out of the picture on a carousel.

The panic mode that the guy went into is what Amex is doing to its EXISTING and PAST customers. They have definitely gone paranoid, imo.

P's & G's eh fishbjc? LOLROTF. I've never heard that one! Good one! Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear this. Did they give you any option to build a new relationship with them?

Re: AMEX does blacklist...

Nah.  I"m ok with it, don't really need their headaches.  Just wanted to see if they do, in fact, blacklist.

Screw em and the horse they rode in on.
