You're welcome. And just to piggy back on what others have said, I use my AMEX a lot. PIF sometimes and carry small balances other times. I don't mind throwing a few bucks interest their way (or other CCCs way) when it serves me well. That's why I like having low APRs and requesting APR reductions (just in case).
AMEX has had no issue with my use/payments/balances. In fact, they reduced my APR down to 12.24% (from stated rate of 15.24%) and gave me a CLI too.
Good luck with your app. Let us know the results.

Yes overrated the talk here. I carried balance. Got my 3x cli despite balance. As far as how much you get. Amex has it's own determination. I got 3500starting on delta. Now at 10.500 in 2 months. So who knows.
+1 all the way.
@Anonymous wrote:Hi,
I am interested in applying for an AMEX card as it is one of the few main cards i do not have. My question is what are some typical initial credit limits??
My info:
FICO 779
Experian 752
UTIL: less than 10%
AVG Age: 4 years
Household Income: approx. 110K
No bankrupt, collections, delinqt.
No missed payments
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you are looking for the guesses, I suppose I would guess 5500-10k. Your scores are well. My guess is based on comparison to mine. I had lower score (closer to 700), less util, higher AAOA, higher income, but had older lates on my report and one small CO from 6 years ago. My initial was 5k

I would guess not more than 5k. Only because your other limits are relatively low. When I first started out they gave me a 2k limit when my high line (Discover) was 6k. Now that I have amassed a lot of cards with high limits they granted me 15k on my third card with them. AMEX likes to build relationships with their cardmembers. It also depends on which card you apply for. I've heard different cards come with different predetermined minimum credit lines.

How long before you went for 3rd card? Don't want to trigger FR

When I got approved for AMEX Delta I only had my WF card with a $2,000 limit and a First Premier (Yikes!) with a $700 limit.
AMEX gave me $9,500 limit.

By the time I got the third card I'd been with them for just a year and a half. Always PIF and utilization never above 7%. They've been great to me.
You have a very good score and excellent habbits with your card. They'll definitely approve you.
I applied for the Amex Blue everyday (not the cash rewards) and was started off with a 5K limit. You'll probably get a higher line of credit than me since im still relatively new (less than 2 years using ccs)
