AMEX referral limits question

I have a question on the limits for AMEX referrals . . . 

My Plat card says I get 45,000 MR points for each referral, up to 100,000 points per year

My Gold card says 30,000 points per referral up to 100,000 per year

My BBP says 10,000 points per referral max 100,000 per year.

Is the max of 100,000 combined between all my cards or can I earn 100,000 on referrals from my Plat, and another 100,000 from referrals on my Gold card, and then another 100,000 points on my BBP if I had enough referrals per year and I specifically clicked the link from each card for sending referrals until I hit the max on that card.

Anyone have actual experience with this to know how the max works?

Pretty sure it's 100k from ALL the referrals added together, since someone you refer can actually get a completely different card than you referred them for, and you'd still get your points.

There's a good chance they separate out personal and business, however. In which case referrals from Plat/Gold are one bucket of 100k, and your BBP a different 100k. (At one point you could refer yourself at get MR, since business accounts were separate).

I believe @unsungivy is correct, @bilwilvegas. 

I have a referral on my Blue Business Plus with the "Terms and Conditions Apply" link.  If you click on that, the terms state among others that "Each Card account is only eligible for up to the annual limit across all Cards on the account, including all eligible additional Cards."

I will note, however, that this applies to MR-earning cards.  If you have bonus offers in other rewards (such as Marriott Bonvoy points), these should be separate.

That was 5-6 years ago, AMEX RAT started to shut self-referrals down pretty quickly too when it started getting out of hand with multiple reports of clawbacks and account closures although they did leave at least the vast majority of Player1/Player 2 referrals alone.

Actually it was as recent as 2 years ago 🤷‍♀️ but was just using it as an example of personal referring business.
