Ok, so I was a member years ago, and had perfect credit and history with them until my divorce happened, and I went delinquent for a month, and couldn't pay. I ended up paying the account in full for $790. A month later they sent me in the mail the "optima" deal, and I didn't take it. That was 6 years ago. Anyway a couple of months ago when I already had a ton of inquiries and I mean a ton, I reapplied for the green card to see If I was off their black list, knowing full well id be denied. Naturally got denied and the letter stated bk only, so off black list. Today I get an email from them inviting me to take their serve debit card thingy whatever it is....should I? Worth it to get Amex faster after a bk, like at 5 yrs instead of 8-9?? Lol??? Thoughts on this.... It states on the email no credit check.
Not sure if this holds true or not, but didn't the Serve card have a sort of "program" that if you used it wisely after a certain amount of time, they may offer you credit?
Not sure if the program included BK-ers as well, but let's see what the rest of the board knows!!
No. tjhe serve and bluebird cards will do nothing to build history with Amex.

This was with another prepaid card (before bluebird and serve) with a program called Make Your Move. The program was discontinued. I think there were questions as to if anyone was actually invited to apply for a "real" card through this program!
