What CL did you get on the Clear? I was only given 2k, which is by far my lowest limit. I have a Green and a Blue also, with the Blue at $8900.

Which AMEX did you get with those scores?

I got the gold delta, but did the product change to Blue.

How long did you wait to do product change?  What reason did you give them for the product change?

Re: AMEX

I have no clue. Since I was approved after the 24 hour message, all I know is that I'm approved. I don't really want to bother them with a call, they might slap me with an F/R lol.

I'm pretty sure I did it at activation.  The first time I asked they told me it couldnt be done, but I called back and the next person said they would do it.

Re: AMEX

IMHO, I'd app for the Sky Miles and see what happens, if the inq won't hurt you too badly.

I may be completely off base with that advice, but  when I was 'waffling' on to 'apply or not apply' back in April, I turned to this forum for advice.....and of course got advice to 'apply' and 'don't  apply'!   LOL  I finally took the advice of the 'apply' side because as was pointed out , the worse that happens is 1 inq and a 'no'.

I made up my mind to try for the Green.  At the time I applied,  my EX was 687, (which Amex pulls) but I do have a paid tax lien (paid in 04) and a paid C/O from 05.

Citi had already  denied me based on these, (contributing I'm sure, to my app shyness!) but they also pull EQ and it was my lowest score at 663.

Anyway, nervously sat in from of my computer and hit submit on Amex for the Green card and got the "Congrats" message, which gave me the courage to 'go for the Gold'.  I apped for it and almost had  a heart attack when the congrats message came up and advised I was approved with $7500 CL.

I feverishly began posting on this forum to see if I should try for the Blue, waffled on that for a few days, and then went for it 3 days after the other 2 approvals.  Got the 24 hour message and was a wreck!!  But lo and behold, I was approved with a $3100 CL!!

We don't fly a lot (we barely travel at all, sad to say) , but I applied for the Sky Miles after reading it was the easiest to get.  When the Sky and Blue came in, I just called customer service, and had $6500 of the Skymiles CL moved to the Blue, which finally gives me one card with a fairly high CL.  And  Amex is great about letting you move lines around as desired, so I can always change it later.

I'm certainly no expert at this, and just about everything I know about this 'stuff'  I've learned from this forum, but since my experience with Amex was so favorable, I'd encourage you to try.

And please post your results!!
