AMEx Platinum Card question.

I no longer Have use for the Platinum card. I opened the account in September. If I cancel today will it hurt my score? Will I get a refund for the annual fee? If I cancel my card will my priority pass get canceled as well? I just opened a everyday preferred card. So need to get rid of this one too high AF

If you have paid for the AF, why not just keep it and cancel it right before your next AF is about to hit?  I can understand that you have no use for it, but i would just recommend keeping before your next AF is due and cancel it then....you don't have to use the card.  As for getting your AF back.. this i doubt, but others can chime in.

Re: AMEx Platinum Card question.

The Platinum card will return a pro-rated AF, so cancelling it whenever you have no more need makes sense.

Priority Pass gets cancelled promptly after cancelling Plat.  If you haven't done so already, you can use up the $200 annual airline credit for 2014 annual year, too, before cancelling.
