I am sad ![]()
One of the members that has both a lot of general spend (50%-total) and like it simple.
Would need ~15 cards to cover all categories, and each take time.
Was putting everything on the AOD // ~7.5 k - month
Figured the single card vs 15 cards, was giving up 2% of 50% spend.
About 1% of total of my spend ~75 /month
Without the AOD that loss is now larger.
Time to re think about Alliant or collect a few 5%, and live with
the loss of simplicity.
So sad really liked it simple. ![]()

Earn up to 2.5% cash back on your first $10,000 of qualifying eligible purchases (1.5% for purchases over $10,000

I won't embarass myself with math, but I imagine making that worth it, not getting at least 5% on that $1k per month requires spend closer to the cap than not, no?
To get the 2.5 not only do you need an average daily balance of $1000.00 you need e statements and one electronic deposit a month....(transfer from another bank works, atm deposit.... you do not need a direct deposit from employer.....)

The dark side requires one to travel.
It would be like me recomending cashback to an every week traveler. ![]()

could have employer put $1 every two weeks in that is a simple thing and 1k isn't bad really..

Don't be sad @Kforce! The good people at LTL Bank have a solution for people like you! Our card, and it's all you need, gives you 5% on ALL your purchases (net, returns not included etc etc). Very simple! And our SimpleSmartFee(R) , paid annually, is just based on a percentage (currently 20%) of your total net purchases for that year. Simple Simple Win Win. With a very reasonable non-refundable application fee.

I don't care about the interest rate but the $1500 cap is way too low for me.
Well, this ruined my day, thank you @CreditCuriosity , lol.
I agree with you. Almost since the day I got this card back in April 2020 I have done more than $1500 a month spend on this card. Wow, this stinks
I haven't gotten the letter yet, but I am sure I will soon.

Bottom line is the interest loss of $1050/mo is ~5 month
The ACH in/out can be automated.
*
With the $5 a month interest loss:
1100/m = 2.0%
3000/m = 2.33
5000/m = 2.40
7000/m = 2.43
10000/m = 2.45
Not 3% but better than 2% if monthly spend is > 1100
