Hello all, I added my brother as an AU back in dec or Nov. The only one that has reported thus far has been the capital one (the only one that asked for his ssn.) He lives out of state, but when we look at our own credit reports it does show a mutual address we've shared together as teenagers with our parents, I was assuming that would link us together for the cards that don't ask for a ssn!!
Should I have him put my physical address- the address on all of my statements- onto his credit report to get things moving along????
I know some of you are against piggy backing, but this is my brother who works hard and got hit with a bump in the road two years back that took him from a great credit rating to the crapper ( temporary job loss) he wants to get a home next year for his family!
Will we get into trouble I mean, (made up addresses for privacy reasons) he lives in California vs. Myself living in Michigan, big difference. Any suggestions would be great!
there's no "trouble" to be gotten into. Its your choice to make him an AU. whether it reports or not depends on the policies of the individual banks. Some banks will report, some won't.
I live in CA and have many bills send to GA (I commute between CA-GA every weekend).
It's just the address on the statement.. No one really cares.
I wonder what would be better, putting his address on my credit report to give it time to see us linked in some way then take the address off or have him add my address to his credit file? hmmmm
