Account History

  1. I have this verizion bill that show as closed collection. But it's not listed on my report as a CA it only shows on my account history from 2005 is this hurting my score?

  1. You have balances on accounts that are past due.
  • Total balances on all of your accounts that are past due
$675Virtually no FICO High Achievers [?] have any amounts past due.
    1. The amount you owe on your past-due accounts is too high. Late payments are a very powerful predictor of future payment risk and the higher the balances on past-due accounts, the greater the risk.
    2. What to do about this: You should try to get caught up on these past-due amounts and continue to pay your bills on time.

      Re: Account History

You may want to go ahead and pay it if it is yours.  The closed collection is from 2005, paying it will not improve your scores but will prevent it from being sold to a CA. You can always wait for a CA letter and try to settle for less than the amount owed with the understanding that the collection accoount will never be reported and the OC will updated 0 balance owed.
