In my case, it's like a blind squirrel finding an acorn once in a while!

But that's great, glad to see you got it.

Okay, this is maybe the third thread I've read where you seem...down?

What does your credit profile look like?  What are your FICOs?  Any baddies?  How many inquiries?  Etc., etc.

It really is a waiting game and I stress the word, GAME.  Smiley Happy

Re: All set for another rejection

FICOS were (I stress WERE here as a result of the hard pull(s) they will be down a few) 758 and 763 on the two scores you can get on here. No baddies, one late from 2005 when I got laid off but the car loan was paid in full. 16 year credit history. Only inquiries in the last 6 months should be when I applied for AMEX and Citi in April and when they both declined me, Crapital One.

They will surely find SOME reason to decline it my God you wouldn't want to expose yourself to any liability in this game. I just am curious what the reason will be this. "Uh, the phases of the moon are not in conjunction with the parent profile of Saturn and thus unfortunately we are unable to approve your request at this time. Please try again in 90 days so we can reject you again and further ding your score. In the meantime please expect to find 'pre-qualified' offers in your mailbox that we will also reject. Thank you and have a GREAT day".

When I logged in here I saw my scores and all I could think is how stupid I was to ding them on these clowns. What a joke. This whole game, is a joke, and it's on us. If these guys make money, great, and if not, there are always bailouts, so heads they win tails we lose, and if you check their "agreement" every word of it (well 90% of it) is giving them every right and seeing that you have that which the law gives you - absolutely nothing more. You wanna search my house and my body at any time you feel like and have the right to execute me? Sure where do I sign for that t-shirt you're handing out. What a bunch of sheep we are to put up with this crap.

It was stupid of me, and I blame myself, to even apply and ding my scores. In a couple of months they'll be back, but how dumb can you get. I have better odds of winning the lottery and at least that could be fun! This is about as fun as a proctal search.

Actually, credit scoring model considers $0 balance as no activity. It does not matter what you think, but from credit scoring perspective, it is no activity.

Reports do show activity during the billing cycle, even when balances are $0. Look at a full Experian report, for example. Lenders can see whether a card is being used or not.

Citi is nuts. I had enough adventures with them with my dopey Sears MC that I can't get tempted by any of their products. My favorite was when they froze my account because I paid several times within the same month. Their explanation? I was a risk for money-laundering. Smiley Very Happy

Nah, they scared me straight. Smiley Very Happy

I think Citi still restricts you to four payments a month, too.
