Hey guys. I only have 2 credit cards, one has 2.5 years (JCPENNEY) and one is 3 years (BOA).
There is a 30 day late on the BOA for April 2010, and a 30 day late on JCPENNEY for July 2010.
These are my only accounts, but also the only negatives. Both are showing a $0 balance and my Equifax fico is around 690ish.
Think I am ready for an AMEX Blue? My Bank of America charges a $60 annual fee since it was a starter card, so it needs replaced. I just paid it, but I am going to cancel it come next year because that is quite ridiculous (they refuse to lower my fee, I must apply for a new card). My Experian only has one inquriy in the past year which is from Verizon.
Think I would have any luck?

How does your EX file look? Any baddies other than the lates?? What is the AAoA on EX?
How recent was the Verizon INQ?
post this info. and I can give further advice.
Depends what your FICO is, the lates probably aren't hurting your score much but Amex is notoriously picky about some things.
You might be approved, but in your situation I'd probably just apply for one of the charge cards instead, and then look at the Blue revolver in another year. Others with more relevant Amex experience likely can give a better idea. Amex has a pre-approval link, roll the dice and see what you get offered since it's just a soft-pull anyway.

There is absolutely nothing else. Both cards were reported lost or stolen once, so the cards show up twice. Other than that there was 2 inquiries, on in may 2010 for home depot, and the last Verizon Jan 2012.
I AM SO HAPPY, my Equifax just notified me I am now FICO 705!!!!!
Did you try for a product change to a BoA card with no AF like the Cash rewards 123 card?

The woman I spoke with told if I did this I would lose all of my credit history, get a hard pull, etc. I thought that was ludicrous.

She's misinformed. You would not lose the history from the date you opened the account to the time you PC'd. That old account would be closed and you would keep the history for 10 years. Your AAoA would be affected for a new account and you would more than likely recieve a HP.
I'd try calling/writing/e-mailing JCP and asking for Goodwill.
Since it's only one late payment; there's an outside chance you may find someone at BoA in a forgiving mood.
With lates so recent, I wouldn't apply for an Amex revolver.
Well, I was really more interested in getting a Chase freedom (or slate) and the AMEX blue. BOA has been such a hassle to deal with. I LOVE Chase, they are my bank and treat me well.
