i feel like i may be missing out. Looking at my portfolio there are some great cards i still not added. I would like to pick 2 which you think should be ? I see a lot people with discover IT also have Chase Freedom in their portfolio. A commmon routine.
Citi Double Cash 2% everything
American Express Everday
US Bank Cash+ 5% restaurant, 5% fast food, 800-872-2657
Chase Freedom 5% rotating categories
Chase Shappire 2x dinning and travel
Sam’s Club MasterCard 5% gas, 3% dinning,
Salie Mae 5% gas, 5% groceries
This is never a matter of the cards or what others use. It's about the needs/wants of the indiivudal. You can't rely on popularity to select cards that suit you.
What are your major spend categories? Which categories aren't being addressed by what you currently have? Are there other factors that should be considered aside from just rewards?

actually I would prefer Citi Double Cash and Fidleity Amex so you can always be earning 2% min. on all purchases! then you rotate if you have those cards or spend in those types of categories.

i love dinning, restaurants, bars, and movies. Discover IT has 5% fandango but once you book your tickets on fandango they charge you 5% convenience fee. what a joke!
$18.50
+ $2.00 Convenience Fee
----------
$22.50
or buy your imax 3D tickets at the movies using their Automated Box Office machine: $18.50

i had Amex offer in the mail the other day from First National Bank of Omaha American Express. It's too bad they didn't offer me 2%. i heard they do for some. Thats why i didn't take it. Maybe they mail me a better offer. It says im pre-approved. No annual fee, but only 1% on everything. For Fidelty i would need to open an account with them
of all the cards i have i wonder when im going to ever get my first Visa Signature card ? I was going to try convert my 2 year old Bank America Cash Rewards to a Signature card but they said i would have to apply for it or ask for credit limit increase from $500 to $5,000. I said no thanks, didn't want to waste another hard inquiry for a card i already had so i asked them to change it to Better Balance Rewards. and lost 3% gas
but i figured i only earned $60 this year using Bank America Cash Rewards on gas when i could be getting $120 a year using the Bank America Better Balance Rewards. I didn't want to waste a hard inquiry on a card i already had. I use it applying for a card i don't have like the ones i listed. Shame i had Bank America Cash Rewards 2 years into building credit history they won't even bother to increase it or upgrade it to Signature visa. it's my lowest cardbut dont want to cancel it because it's one the first cards i had. I called them to remove annual fee which they did and made me changed my mind about canceling it. Especially since its a better balace rewards now. I be able to get $120 a year just by having it.
You should never ask for a general consensus when trying to pick a card.
Get a card that suits YOUR spending habits best.
For instance, I spend a lot on dining out, so the CSP is excellent for me.
The goal should be to maximize rewards. ![]()

It's 2 UR, so if used correctly, that is a lot more than 2%
