Amazon Secured Card

I’m not sure if anyone else has had this happen but I just got the amazon card at the end of March. My statement cut is on the 4th of every month and my due date is the 1st. I had no payment due on the first of April because I just got the card but my May payment is already out which is weird but the thing that’s more weird is they reported twice this month. They reported on the 4th and today and I’m not sure why. Has anyone else had this happen with syncb bank?

Re: Amazon Secured Card

They've been reporting weird for the last month on all of their cards. My PayPal reported a 2 month old balance a week before my statement, when the correct balance was reported.

Re: Amazon Secured Card

Thank you for your reply. I wasn’t sure if it was something they do so I was scared to ever use the card again.

Re: Amazon Secured Card

I have found synchrony's reporting odd as well but there are a few things they seem to be consistant on. When you first open an account with them they will report to the credit bureau's fairly quickly and of course you will have a balance of $0 on the new account. The FIRST time you use it and have any balance other than $0, they tend to report it and update the bureaus. After that you should see normal reporting each month after your statment date but they do report that first balance on a new card right away. They will also report immediately any updates you make on your account such as updating an address or phone number. If you ever pay your balance down and want them to report mid-cycle you can actually go and update your address and they will often report an update with your new balance reflected within a day or two. You may be thinking but how will I update my address if I haven't moved? Just make simple changes like  st. to street.  or drive  to dr.

Yeah but I hadn’t changed anything and they reported the day my statement cut and then 3 days later so i just wanted to make sure that didn’t just happen to me and it won’t keep happening.

Re: Amazon Secured Card

In the past while I still had Synch card, they would report at most random times, then again at statement time.

It's nothing unusual for them. Probably just trying to inflate their numbers.

@unknowncarrier,

Same thing happened to me. 2x reporting fist month. Also they post ur payment on time but they do not release your available credit ( after they get payment) for 10 days. It’s happened to me twice now on a 2 month old Acct. 😡

When I was using it heavily and having to pay multiple times a month, they started giving me access to the funds before it cleared. Normally later in the day, sometimes by the next. Once I stopped using it so much, it went back to a few days when it would clear.

Yeah they haven’t refreshed my credit for my Limit and I didn’t understand that. The guy told me that since its a new card it will take 5 days for the payments to go through but i forgot to ask when my credit limit will be back in full since i have no charges.
