Amazon Store Card CLI?

What is your experience with Amazon store card CLIs? I have yet to see one or receive one, granted I only opened the account back on April 2nd. Is it usually 90 days before any kind of CLI? This is my only account with Synchrony and haven't receive any love yet. I made a $350 purchase on a $600 SL, have made several $60 payments on it already since it is 0%, I'm not PIF...what kind of behavior does Synchrony typically like to see? As far as usage..

thank you in advance!

Re: Amazon Store Card CLI?

Opened 6/14 - $2200

Auto-CLI sometime around 9/14-10/14 (unsure) - $2500 - this reset my CLI clock and I had to wait to show "sufficient history at the new limit" before requesting again

Requested CLI 1/15 - $4000

Requested CLI 5/15 - $5000

CLI button is SP off your report from TU. Can be pressed every 4 months + 1 day. Hope this helps.

This definitely helps! Thank you...I guess I've been prematurely hitting the CLI button Smiley Very Happy

I'm just eager to make a larger purchase but can't with this $600 SL. but nonetheless, happy to have this card. If Citibank didn't hate my guts (for whatever reason) I'd hit up BestBuy, as they also have really good financing options on electronics, which I am a sucker for.

Re: Amazon Store Card CLI?

It's better to open the chat button or call Credit Solutions instead of clicking the CLI button.  Generally Synchrony is good for CLI every 4 months and it's soft pull.

I've never had luck with CLI using the button, but try Sync chat and aim high—they will counter if they can't give you what you want.

Opened my card in 2010. Starting limit was 1500. 4 months later auto CLI to 4K. I tried the button every 4 months for two years and always got the instant denial and a letter telling me that the requested increase was more than they allowed. I initially asked for 2k and kept reducing it by 500 bucks. Eventually, I realized I would never get anywhere using the button. I only wanted the CLI for score purposes as I never come close to 4K a month with Amazon. I did some research on the forums and found out that i will only have success by calling Synchrony. Called them and got a CLI to 10K with a soft pull in about 15 seconds - should have asked for more.Smiley Mad

Have you tried loading up your shopping cart and see if they will exceed your limits?  My card is limited to some low number like $1300 because that is what my TV cost 2 years ago. If my purchase would have been $4000, I believe that is what my limit would be now. I have never asked for a CLI nor has one been offered.

Re: Amazon Store Card CLI?

Call credit solutions and ask for an increase.  Aim to the moon high and tell them you will accept a counter offer.  It also doesn't hurt to tell them you like electronics and would like to make a large purchase and take advantage of the 0% offers.  I started at a $700 limit in August, got an auto increase to $900 in november, a LUV button increase to $1,400 in April, and then called into credit solutions earlier this month and got a $4K counter offer which I accepted.  I use my card nearly every month for SOMETHING so that may help but either way give them a call and see what they will do for you.  It is only a SP and you may get a big increase.  Also, credit solutions doesn't have to abide by the 4 month rule it appears as I just got the bump in April and then got the nearly 3X increase in May.  I will be waiting for my score to increase due to several new limits and paying off some cards I've been carrying some balances on and giving them a call back again sometime in July looking for a 10K limit as I got a new motorcycle and the 0% for 6 months on purchases over $150 will come in handy as I make some improvements to it.
