I was approved for the Amazon Store card a little over a week ago. I applied when I was making a large purchase in order to get the gift card. I received the actual card today and proceeded to set up my account. However, the large $294 purchase I made as soon as I was approved is not showing up in my transactions. The funds have not been deducted from my available credit either. The items have already arrived and everything. The strange thing is that I ordered a few more items AFTER the initial purchase and those orders are showing up and the funds have been deducted. What is going on with that first $294 purchase?? When will it appear and be reflected in my available credit?
Thanks in advance for any insight here.
I did try contacting Synchrony and Amazon both. I used only the chats, so I didn't talk to anyone ridiculously qualified. Their advice was just to wait and see.
Hello,
When you go to the order on Amazon, in your purchase record, what is the payment method showing?
The new card?
This happened to me once with AMEX, I called them and they said wait... It finally posted to my account about 5 days after the order arrived. That said, this is rare with Amazon-
Personally, I would give it a week and then contact Amazon by phone and see if they can track down what happened.
Good Luck..
PS- Enjoy that new card..
I'd just wait and see... at some point an auditor will find the discrepancy and fix it.
Since you had just applied for the new card, could you have accidentally charged the purchase to another card you have on file with Amazon?

Thanks for the advice. Yes, the new card is listed as the payment method. I guess I will just wait and see. I just hope it doesn't screw up the statement or report as a missed payment...

No I had no other card attached to my account. I checked them all anyway just to be safe though LOL. The new Amazon card is listed as the payment method on the Orders page of my Amazon account.
The same thing happened with my first order. I don't remember how long it took for the charge to show on theChase site, but it was quite a while. It seems like it was well over a week. That first use, $70 off... so sweet.
OK, thanks. Yeah, I think I'll just wait and see what happens. Thanks!
