Amex pulls EX. Your 660 on EX should be sufficient (from perspective of score alone) to get Amex Gold Delta Skymiles (credit card) or Green Preferred Rewards (charge card). Much more important than score, though, is how clean your EX report is. Any baddies? How old? Utilization? New accounts? Ever had a relationship with Amex in the past go bad?2) Credit limit is determined much more by your income and existing limits than it is by scores. It's really not possible to answer this question with the information you've provided.3) The "better" Amex cards are not the ones you can get with EX 660. One step at a time. Gold Delta Skymiles is your most likely approval if you want an Amex credit card.(Having said that, I love my Gold Delta Skymiles card.)
Currently my utilization is:51% I'm awaiting an update to a cc. Util should decrease to 19%No new accounts since February - car purchase -10,000No collection accounts. No relationship with american express in the past----Baddies- late mortgage payment 6 months ago. Have been current for 6 months.- late student loan that happened in 9/2006. Working on a goodwill for this.- car loan -1st date of delinquency - 9/2003 - this was paid in 8/2006.I make 80,000 a year and debt ratio is low. Should I wait until my score reaches 700?
