I just received an email from Experian with a strange pre-approval link through something called Union Credit. It leads me to a pre-approval for two cards from a credit union called AmericaFirst. It actually says that I am already approved.
The regular Platinum Visa comes with a limit of $30K and APR of 12.24%. The rewards Visa comes with a CL of $5,999 and an APR of 15.74%.
It's all really odd because it says I am already approved. Just have to decide which card. I'm really not interested but my curiosity is somewhat peaked. I've gotten plenty of pre-approvals but can't remember one where it said I was already approved.
I've never heard of this CU. There are only a couple references on here to it.

union credit is the intermediary that allows CUs to plug in their underwriting and offer instant credit approvals and it's what redstone and jovia? used to use to offer the SP cc pre-approved offers through this looking interface:
I get similar offers on/off for $20k through Teachers FCU through Experian through Union Credit, but based on this, I have no intention of touching them with a 10ft pole, but cool to see nonetheless.
through the above interfaces, all I did was fill out some basic info and my cards went to printing pretty much immediately. Can't say how it will go if you have to also be approved for membership with the CU as well, but hopefully just as seamless and hopefully also, no HP.
both Redstone and Jovia have moved on it seems from Union Credit, at least Redstone has and they've switched to using "Clutch" which is hot garbage, immediate HP, still same manual underwriting, bogus approval odds etc.
Thanks, @GZG . I appreciate the very informative response. I seem to remember an intermediary called MoveCU or something like that doing the same thing.
Thanks for solving the mystery. I'm still intrigued why they would offer me one approval for 30K or one for 5999 LOL

got this email again at like noon, but my offers are already expired, they seem to ping pong back and forth between being up and not up for some reason
*piqued*
I got the same offer as well. The offer I got also included a Visa from a local credit union which Im interested in. Im also wondering what the complete process is as well.
