Amex does not do joint accounts at all.

Amex does do authorized user accounts, but will only send statements to the primary cardholder.

I gave the answer I gave to cover all bases because I don't know what you mean by "co-signer".

If you mean joint accounts, Amex doesn't do joint accounts.

If you mean AU accounts, Amex does AU accounts but don't send statements to the AU.

If that's not what you are asking, then can you rephrase you question?

OK, you are asking about a joint account.  If you are getting an Amex in your own name, then no, Amex will not allow that.

Re: American Express Co-signing?

Nope-
He can open an account and add you as an AU-

Your example is a joint account- Amex does not do joint accounts
