For those of you who have the Amex Platinum card, did you also decide to apply for and add the Amex Gold card? Is it worth having both charge cards with the higher annual fees? I currently have the Delta Reserve card, but I'm going to either close it out, or reduce it down to a Delta Platinum because of the annual fee.
Just for giggles, I did the no credit hit app to see if I would be approved for the Gold card too, and I was. I'm contemplating accepting it, and being done adding any cards for a long time. For those who have the Platinum and Gold cards, do you see enough perks from both to justify the individual annual fees?

What are your spending needs? Do you spend a lot on groceries and restaurants? Only you can make the call on if this duo is good for your needs.
Personally, I keep my Platinum for the coupon book of credits, status with hotels, FHR deals, and airport lounges. My BCP nets 6% back on groceries, and my CSR is 3x UR points on restaurants so I don't need the Gold card, nor do I find it's associated coupon book useful for *my* needs.
If you're into the SUBs, one should get the Gold first and then the Plt.
I can justify the $325 for my Gold but cannot eek out value from the Plt's $895 as I don't travel a lot anymore.
