Since we're on the topic I'm confused why AMEX announced this as a new perk of being a cardholder when it seems to me it's just stating the obvious on how they've been processing payments on accounts for awhile
Maybe I'm missing something obvious here

Same
I actually got a good chuckle when something was going on with Chase servers couple of months ago, I couldn't log in for a few hours, and when I did, everything looked messed up, except somehow Amex managed to sneak in and take my money
Technically their money, but whatever
Chase has very fast transfers. My payments to Apple Card deduct within a couple hours. While others say other banks or CU are days.

Yes. This was posted on DOC. I was like... This isn't NEW!!
It would be a perk if the MR points would post as quickly: I made the payment early this morning, the payment has already hit my checking account, but I'm still waiting for the MR points.
I guess Citi has caught up and is posting ACH debits faster. I will miss the overnight float...

Right?
Chase be a short movie, US Bank be All My Children...25 years later still waiting to see what happened to my payment

Wasn't just DoC but all the sites. CNN, TPG, etc were reporting it like it was something customers should want when they've had it the whole time

LOL!!
Along with that 6 week late alert or email from US Bank.
my very first payment to amex (a couple months ago) came out of my checking account instantly. now, i've noticed it's not instant but the money seems to come out the same day or the next business day. honestly not sure the rhyme or reason to this, i've used the same bank account for all of my payments.
Same for me as well it shows instantly now which is GREAT on Amex side, but it didn't come out right away from my CU, likely it will pull through tomorrow which I am ok with that
That is pretty much how it came out before this without the automatic showing of pending payment on Amex's side so I like it shows now honest
If it pulled out my account same time I posted payment I would be perfectly fine with that too ![]()

This is probably their subtle way of nudging the many clients that just have to go down to the wire. Then they will be back here starting poor me, bad amex threads.
