I am interested in getting my foot in the door with Amex. I have a bankruptcy on my file from 2011. All accounts since have positive history. I would like to know if I even have a shot before I apply. If so, which should I try for?

Your BK may seem too recent to AMEX, I would wait a bit longer.

The BK is too recent, most approvals for AMEX are post 7 yrs BK.

Sorry but with a bk from 2011 that will be a waste of an HP. Even 7 years probably won't do it with Amex. I read a post a while back that said someone with a 9yr Bk got one, but other than that the success rate is slim to none.
