What is the easiest american express card to get? What are the requirements, such as scores, what bureau do they pull from- I live in South Florida, AAOA, ect. Just looking for future consideration after i'm done gardening. Thanks everyone.
i dont think any amex card is "easy" but ive read on different sites that co-branded cards have better approval odds. my first amex card was the gold delta skymiles card and my most recent is the amex everyday card. skymiles has a 2k limit and everday card has a 10k limit. in my case amex pulled experian for both cards. my scores i had upon approval are in my sig. my aaoa is nearing 3yrs. hope that helps
edit: i should also note that at the time of approval on both my amex cards, there is a 6yr old ch13 bk reporting. no other baddies.

The co-branded ones are easier, especially the Delta. Mid 600s, they pull EX, with a clean file is pretty much minimum. Some people have been able to get in with some baddies, but they have made up for it elsewhere with higher scores, income, etc. AAoA isn't necessarily on their top priority, they rely on internal risk scoring methods much more so than other lenders so your EX report is only part of the equation.
Some say their revolvers are easier to get while other say charge cards are easier. From personal experience it seem their revolvers are a bit more relaxed requirements, but one thing is for sure is the Delta card is the easiest Amex to get.
Ok thanks for the help, is the delta on the website I didn't see it.
Never mind I see it. Unfortunately, I'm going pass on that card and stay in the garden maybe later I could get w better one. That card has no real use to me at this point in time. Thanks for your input
I see it on there. However, do you fly? It wouldn't make a lot of sense to get this card if you don't, even if it's the "easiest" Amex revolver to get. Likewise, I also wouldn't bother trying to get one of their charge cards unless you think you're actually going to make good use of them since they all have AFs. For everyday spend, I would just apply for one of the Everyday or Blue Cash cards, even if their underwriting may be slightly more strict (which is even debatable with all the recent Amex ED/BC approvals lately with ppl with mediocre scores, including me). Personally I think Amex seems to have become a lot more lax with their approvals the past couple of months due to the whole Costco thing and the doom/gloom forecasting around the company.
Of course, if you don't care about AFs and hits to your AAoA, and just care about getting your foot in the door with Amex (for whatever reason), then getting a "fodder" Amex to build a relationship is still a good strategy. If you don't already know though, just keep in mind that Amex no longer backdates open dates on new accounts when they report to the CBs, so now every new Amex account you open will be a hit to your AAoA, just like with every other card.

Good decision..
I don't fly at all. I can't remember the last time I did. So I will pass on it. Annual fees do matter, apr does not as I always pay in full. I'd want a reward type card not really a revolver. I would take a hit on my report to get in, but for the right card, not to just get in with a card of no value to me. The everyday card and blue cash would be what I'm interested in. Thier prequalify link has no matches for me. I just got my chase freedom this week, my boa cash rewards a couple weeks before that and my Barclays cash rewards last month. I was just hoping to maybe end the spree with an Amex. But I can wait for the right card I want.
They approved me low-mid 600s for the Everyday card. Your Experian score is about 30 points higher than mine when they'd approved me. $500 starting limit. Not much, but it was a foot in the door with them. I initially went for it to get in with them a bit early so I could get a better card with them down the road and have it backdate, but of course shortly after I get it they stop backdating. I do have 1 collection on my reports that is over 5 years old, but clean port otherwise.
