American Express

I use my Amex card for most monhtly expenditures and pay it down each month in full. Is the use of Amex card this way considered the same as a regular credit card?

Re: American Express

Welcome Chip1965, can you give us a bit more information?

What type of AMEX card is it?

I am not sure if FICO has any different scoring models when comparing say an AMEX Gold card (charge) versus an AMEX Everyday Preferred (credit card).

Welcome to the forum

I would assume that this is a charge card and no it is not viewed any different with the exception of UTL  factors

Store cards, Charge cards and CC's are all considered revolving credit with the only difference being Amex charge cards need to be paid in full each month

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
