Re: American express

If you got pre approval offers on their page then chances are good you'd get approved for both. If you're interested in the 2 for 1 you can apply for a revolver and charge card on the same say and potentially only get 1 HP. The UW criteria is supposedly the same among all of the charge cards so PRG and Platinum are also options depending on your spend and what you'd like to get out of the cards.

Re: American express

Agree with the post above.  If you have a use and an interest, many recommend the Charge and Revolver in the same day for the same HP (If you are not already an Amex holder.)  I'd also guess that many including myself would steer you to considering a different charge, as the Green card won't necessarily be the long-term performer for you.. (maybe the Gold Card or PRG instead.)  I'm not personally up to speed on the length of profile Amex likes to see, as that's the only part that sticks out to me based on your profile, 7 months is a bit short. However, if you were pre-approved on the Amex site then you have a significantly strong chance!

Re: American express

The Blue Cash Everyday (BCE) card is a good card to have and earns you 3% cash back on groceries and 2% on gas.
If you are preapproved for the ED card, I am sure that you will also be able to get the BCE card as well.
I would not myself get the green charge card.
The PRG card is a good one to get, especially if you can get a 50,000 MR points sign up bonus.

Re: American express

I wanted to get in with AmEx and build a relationship with them. That is why I went with ED initally and BCE a month later. As the saying goes, treat them well, and they'll treat you well. They're now my highest card limit.

But not too much point in having ED and BCE,   Do you do 20 transactions  a month on ED?

Re: American express

PRG and ED are a good match. Look at the MR bonus on ED and you'll see why we are asking about 20 swipes per month on it. If you have a revolver pre approval and green pre approval yes it is very likely you could get ED and PRG. As sure as anything in credit can be, anyway.
