Amex 3x CLI on 20k starting limit?

I’ve had this card for a month. Have put $600 of charges on it and PIF before statement close. Now there is $1100 charge on it which I plan to PIF as well.

Doubt I can get 3x increase. What should I request for when its time?

DH has 6month Amex w 35k SL. Requested increase to 42k but it then it asked for income verification. While that wasn’t a problem he didn’t want to deal w the paperwork so we ignored it.

I wouldnt request a 3x on a 20k sl for sure unless i had the income to support it and or i was really using it. $600 and $1100 charges wouldnt convince Amex a $60k limit is warranted . Request what you feel is comfortable and maybe theyll approve or counter. If you dont want iv, put a request in and bck out til approved. Jmho

They usually ask for income verification at 35K, so if you don’t want to do that (IV) ask for that, if they ask for IV, work your way down 1K on down.

You can get over 35K over time asking for CLI’S, if you want. Usually people ask 5k to 10k and work down.

I have a Delta AMEX Reserve that was recently increased to $40k without any verification.

They just approved me for an ED card with $14k limit, and last Nov a DL PLT Biz card with $15k limit.
