The number of revolving accounts that they can approve will vary at their own discretion since it's profile-specific. Some members (including myself) have in excess of the known 'soft' restriction. From a variety of known DPs, the current 'soft' restriction is usually 5 revolving accounts (personal and/or business). If a profile is on the 'cusp' they can generally approve the new account conditionally in exchange for closing an existing account.
You can check the Delta Gold card to see whether it still allows you to reallocate any portion of the limit if it hasn't been closed yet by the New Accounts team -- as a condition of approval for the new account.
