That is great to see that you can go past these "minimum" APRs. If I am able to get the BCE to your APR I would be satisfied if died at that moment .
success again with citi. im tearing up in heeaaare!
So has anyone else gotten Amex to lower your APR while still under the 0% promotional period?
Just got my American express Bluecash everyday. Not pleased with the APR since my BofA platinum is at 9.99% Sure it has a small AF but.....
I'm a new AMEX holder and I understand they probably don't really trust me yet. 21.99% and opening CL of 1000. Planning to do a 3x CLI after 61 days to get me to where I can use this card for bills and purchases etc. Amex says my FICO was 734 when they opened the account. Should I ask for APR reduction at the same time as CLI or wait till my promo rate is closer to expiring?
I pretty much have to PIF this card anyway to stay in good graces with AMEX, but the interest bugs me. Chase freedom has me pegged at a high rate and won't even consider a drop. Definitely not carrying a balance there either.
My Amex BCE came with a 12.99% APR. When my 0% promo expires in August 2014, I'll request a rate reduction. I'll do the same thing with my discover at 13.99%. Those really aren't bad interest rates for my relatively new revolving credit history.
Well, this thread reminded and inspired me.
Amex Hilton Hhonors Surpass 15.24% => 12.24%
This thread is so exciting! I'm happy for all of you which successfully receieved an APR reduction... I'll bookmark this for the future!
EDIT: I just received my BCE in the mail today! It has an Intro APR of 0% until August 2014, then following 12.99%
Could I get this reduced to 9.99? Has anyone tried yet
