Does anyone know if an AU on my Amex would get a SP to app? My DH is an AU on my card. He already has set up his own log in information. He has no history with Amex other than his AU status on my card. When we get to the point of him apping for his own Amex, I guess I'm wondering if it would be a SP if denied or if he would take a HP since he doesn't yet have any of his own Amex cards. I know what the forums say about if I app'd for another product for myself. But I haven't seen anything about an AU taking a SP/HP if not approved for their own card.

It will be a HP. American Express does not factor any authorized user activity when making decisions on a primary account. (DW had been an AU on three of my Amex cards for 14 years before applying for her first primary card.)
Thanks! That is exactly what I needed to know. We are rebuilding his CRs and want to conserve HPs as much as possible, so only apping once he has a good chance of success.
