Hey guys, got some questions for you.
It had been about 90 days so I went ahead and submitted another request for a CLI on my everyday card. Asked for $25k got the 7-10 day message. I wasnt sure if it had been exactly 90 days yet. Called in today and they said it was declined due to high utilization (BS), too many new accounts , high debt ratio.bad public records/collections etc. I checked the EX report right after and...
I have around 12% Utilization, yes several new accounts but newest is 3 months old and AAOA is about 5 years. no other debt besides the CC Utilization, and 1 mistake collection for about $100 reporting and paid and closed. 0 late payments ever
I called the EO and they said it might be because I already have a lot of available credit, I told them my monthly basic gas and meals spending puts me at 50% utilization on this card and thats too much when BOA gives me $20k, Chase $15k (with no history with them) etc.
..
The gentleman said htey used to be able to just bump peoples limits up at the EO but cant do that any more and referred me back to the original department
this is beyond frustrating, did I just get the wrong person to talk to? should I just wait another few months to have a minimum age of 6 months for my inquiries or what?
Simply wait for some more time.
Although your current EX report has low utilization, what about previous month? AMEX is known to use last month of CR.
Hey Trumpet,
It might be slightly higher last month, like 15%, but nothing huge. I am frustrated but I guess its what I have to take iwth it being a SP CLI and not looking at the details.
