That stinks, knew I wasn't going to apply for 40k MR and had to hold off as long as I had to for the offer. Glad I did, sorry you didn't.

I went early due to the travel benefits. I travel heavily and wanted to take advantage of benefits, including international lounges on my last 2 trips.  It was great for that. I've already received the airline reimbursement, etc. Overall, the card really fits my needs. Of course I would have loved to have the 100k MR too.

For others, keep in mind that a cobrand Platinum is a good way to try the perks out while remaining eligible for a better bonus on the proprietary Platinum.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Can you share which cobranded platinum cards you are referring to? I looked into 2 of them but decided against them as I did not have and did not want a financial relationship with either company. But maybe you have info that can help someone else.

More than enough credit.

Thanks. Those are the only ones I was aware of but thought I might be missing something.

Thanks. It looks like the Scwab Amex requires an eligible brokerage account.
