Amex Platinum Offer

I currently have an Amex PRG and I recieved an offer to upgrade to the Platinum for 25,000 MRs when I spend $2,000 in 90 days. I previously had the platinum but downgraded it. Does anyone know if I upgrade now do I get an additinal $200 travel credit to use through December or do I only get an additonal $100 becuase I already used $100 on the PRG? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How long has it been since you downgraded and then recieved an offer to upgrade back to the platinum? I'm a similar situation, I would like to go back to the platinum  after downgrading to the prg but my account isn't a year old yet so I think I can't yet.

I would give Amex a call to make double sure, but logically you should get access to the full $200 travel credit because it is a technically a new card and you get access to the benefits of the new card.

I'd call as well but I'm almost certain you'll get all the benefits of the PLAT, which is $200 airline credit.

How long has it been since you downgraded and then recieved an offer to upgrade back to the platinum? I'm a similar situation, I would like to go back to the platinum  after downgrading to the prg but my account isn't a year old yet so I think I can't yet.

I had a platinum and PRG, in June I downgraded the Platinum to the Green. I then recieved an offer to upgrade the PRG to Platinum last week. Similar situation but not the same.

I called and they checked with two departments and they said I would recieve the full $200 to use through December adn then it would reset again.

Your account that was a platinum then went to the green is older than a year correct?

Your account that was a platinum then went to the green is older than a year correct?

It was opened last August with the 100K bonus and downgraded June of this year to the Green.

to be totally honest,  knowing that you can get a 100k MR offer for a new Platinum, I would absolutely never upgrade a lower card to it.

If you've already got a Plat sign-up bonus once, then maybe it could be justifiable to upgrade later on but that is the only scenario that makes sense to me.
