Amex Question

Way prior to filling for bk7 I had a green amex card with a NPSL. At the time I didn't know much about the prestige of owning the card and remember thinking that there was no grace period what's the point of having this card. So I closed the account and it remained in good standing while opened.  So here is my question with the account in good standing prior to bk can I apply for an amex product now? Or will they deny me because of bk reporting? Like I said they were not included in my bk and the account was in good standing when I closed it. This was back in 2004-2005 I filled for BK7 in december of 2011.

Re: Amex Question

Unfortunately, it is not likely that Amex will approve you for card membership with a BK so recent.  Most folks seem to get approval with Amex once their BK is about 8 years old.  YMMV, of course.
