Amex SPG

Hey guys, while logged into my Amex account, I saw the sign up offer on the SPG was just 10,000 starpoints. Yet when I later checked on my iPhone where I hadn't logged in, it showed the bonus as 25,000. Anyone has any insight into why ???

Re: Amex SPG

Oh ok that makes sense.  I don't know that I would keep the card long term but I'd like to pocket the 25k starpoints for the future.  Considering applying for this and the Chase Ink in February.

Re: Amex SPG

Ok so should I wait until Amex soft pulls my report AFTER all my balances report next month ??? Coming into December I owed roughly 8k overall and I have paid it off.

For best results, I believe so.  The more optimal things look, the better the chances.

Re: Amex SPG

If it was a hard pull, I would just wait until the middle of next month when all my zero balances report and then app. But since I'm a card member, I fear they will simply look at the last soft pull they have on me.

If you're approved, then it will be HP for sure.  If not approved, it's just SP.  I'm hoping that everything falls in place and you can be approved come next month.
