Amex Serve raising CC load limits?

Just noticed on my Serve account where they've updated the following:

1. Credit cards load at $200 per day and $1,000 per month.

2. Money Pak and Vanilla Reloads.

So, it appears CC direct loading has increased, while introducing the ability to load with VRs. Unfortunately, in my area, there are no longer any VRs offered.

Are there any CVS in your area? Apparently there are now chain-wide policies being rolled out allowing $5K per day and pay by credit card. As usual, some stores still have not adopted the policy and it's possible that individual stores can refuse to carry them (but if they do they will take ccs). They have beefed up their tracking system, now if you spend $1000 or more, your driver's license bar code (or similar) is scanned.

Of all the ones I've checked, none carry VR reloads. This goes with all ODs, Walgreens, and any supermarkets I've been to.

Must be time to relocate then. As they say in real estate, three most important factors are: availability of VRs, location, and availability of VRs. Or something like that.

Still trying to wrap my head around the advantages, here, but see if this sounds right.

Over the course of a year, do the following:

1. Set up a Serve account. - No charge

2. Get a Blue Cash Preferred card. - ($75) AF

3. Load 12 Vanilla Rewards card using the BCP at CVS stores in $500 increments. - ($47.40) in fees

4. Earn 6% cash back on each VR card purchase. - $360

Net = $360 - $75 - $47.40 = $237.60.

Well, BCP won't work at CVS (drug store rather than supermarket) but other cards do.

So for TYP 5x, using Bluebird rather than serve, and have two bluebirds, it looks like.

1) Get a bluebird, and one for SO or equivalent: No Charge

2) Have a Citi 5x card (no charge, but not available now)

3) Load 20 Vrs a month, for 12 months =240*3.95 = $948

4: Earn 5% on $120,000 = $6,000, or convert to travel with Premier at $7,980

So even keeping as cash, net is $5,052. And some are using 6 or more bluebirds....
