I paid my Entergy electric bill with my Amex BCE on 3/27/23 $331.60 on 3/31/23 I received a statement credit for $$250. The original payment was credited to my electric bill. I have met the $2k spend requirement with that purchase to receive the $200 SUB but I assumed that would be a statement credit on the 17th.
Other credits received
Disney Bundle $7
Hulu $2.61
Netflix $2.14
New account opened on 2/17/23

In general, an Amex cash SUB will often appear like this. Not unusual.
Not sure why it's for $250 vs. $200.

Yes, that's what I remembered but wanted someone to confirm! Some "random" charge gets the credit (obviously not really random but we don't know which). It always causes confusion (and "Did the charge get reversed so I still owe merchant X that amount?" type stuff) so don't know why it can't just appear as a standalone, properly marked, statement credit.

The SUB probably is $250 and not $200. I was so excited I got approved but didn't really read it 😂 I remember the $2k spend within the first 6 months.

I've seen BCE have $200, $250, and $250 broken down into $150 plus up to another $100 in paypal transactions (at 20% back per transaction till the limit is hit) over the last number of months. A few days after I apped for BCP the sub went from $300 w/first year AF waiver to $250 w/first year waiver.

Looks like the SUB credit. Mine posted that way as well.
