Amex approval question

Is there anyone that was first approved for an Amex credit card but then denied for 1 of their charge cards? I'm interested in knowing of your experience with that situation, would appreciate any input and advice. Thanks

My first Amex was a BCP which was quickly followed by a Delta Gold card and then immediately followed up by a denial for a PRG. I called to recon and they reversed the denial without me having to sell them on it in any way. It was kind of weird, actually. 

Call and talk to them, they'll probably make it go through for you.
