Woo Hoo, after my app spree two weeks ago, I was a little concerned about my AAoA but this is going to help.  Called Amex just now, they found my original Amex card from 1988 and are sending me out two new cards with Member Since....1988....instead of 2013!!!!  25 year backdating, sweet...take that AAoA Smiley Very Happy

Congratulations!  I had a similar experience.  I recently open a NFCU Visa and wanted to wash out that new TL aging.  My current AMEX was showing a Member Since 1998, but I knew I had a card starting in the early 80's.  I called them up and they confirmed my Green Card (actually my first CC) from 1981.  So I gained 17 years on that TL and my oldest TL is now 32 years.

Congrats to you as well, nice isn't it??

Amex is quick as well.  I logged onto my account and it is already updated showing me a member since 1988 and the two new replacement cards are in the mail.  The fiist reporting date for both cards is 12/13.

My AAoA pre spree was 7 year 9 months so I don't expect a huge change but any change for the good.......is good Smiley Wink

YES, but it's a bragging right to be one, not an insult Smiley Very Happy
