Amex backdating

I recently received the Amex BCP and BSE but a want to know if they can be backdated. My member since on the website is 2011, but my cards are dated 2012. The card from 2011 has been cancelled and was a company card (not my company). Can I still request backdating even if the business card wasn't from my business and is now cancelled? Thanks in advance.

Re: Amex backdating

If you want the member since date to be 2011 on your card, you can call the number on the back of the card and they will send you new cards. If you are asking for FICO scoring purposes then Amex is likely already reporting as such. What shows on the website is typically what is reported to the CRA.

+1.  If your online profile is showing 2011 as the member since date then your new cards will be backdated to that year on your credit reports, which is really what counts IMO.
