Amex backdating

 Has anyone had any experience with Amex backdating after having a previous amex card that charged-off

 Had a Amex back in 89 that charged-off  Finally got back in with Amexin 2012 with Gold PRG and Mercedes Benz

 revolver card. I wondering should I call to try and backdate or leave well enough alone

Yes. Don't mention anything until you get your card and see if it does it automaticly (It should)

  I have had my new Gold PRG since 2012 and mercedes card for a year now  my MSD is 2012

listen very carefully and disregard all other advice!---filed for bankruptcy with amex back in 1981---applied for BCE 1 mar 14---approved--2 hours after the online approval I  called amex customer service and asked them if they would back date to 1979--done---card came in the mail with 1979 msn--used the card immediately with no problems--I am sick and tired of this being afraid something might happen attitude!--We are the consumers and the compainies need us--not the other way around!----by the way Aoaa went up 35 years!!!!!!!!!!

I had a charge off in 91. Got a BCE last month, called in to get MSD changed, rep couldn't find account, waited two days, did onlne chat. Rep found the account and changed the MSD in about 5 mins. No issues at all.

I had a card that charged off in 92.  I spoke to a new rep who couldn't find it but transferred me to one who could.

Backdating, no problem.

Thanks forall advice  Did have online chat with Amex customer  backdating was no problem  Added 23 years of history to both cards assuming both

report the new history date
