So I just got my first statement on my green card from amex and it has a $95 annual in it. I called the rep and she told me that in the agreement I have, it says I should pay $95 for my first year. She put in a complaint to the complaint department or something and she said I would receive a letter in the mail stating what actions were going to be taken.
When I got approved it was a pretty good day, today, I'm not that exciting about being part of the "amex family"
I applied through the americanexpress.com website. It says in big letters, $0 INTRODUCTORY ANNUAL FEE FOR THE FIRST YEAR
Yeah... I'm just a bit disappointed I guess.
I'd be shocked if they don't fix it. This happened to someone else recently with the Green card. Not sure why they are having this issue.

Not sure if ctb ever got it credited. Try a secure message. I wonder if they are occasionally changing the offer on their page? Weird that they would keep having this issue.
I would call again and talk with someone else. I would tell them it's right on their site and still there and it's the same place I applied. I wouldn't give up just yet and I wouldn't take the wait and see approach yet either. Please let us know what happens.
Starting Score: 648I tried the secured email and they got back to me stating the samething.
Well good news, they are going to credit me back the $95 annual fee.
It hasn't fully processed yet but it said through secured message that I would get it back.
The message they first sent said something like, if you could give us a confirmation code or an offer code that describes where it states you would get the first year waived we could get it back for you blah blah.
Then I literally replied that it's on their website, I linked the green card offer and said, it's in big letters $0 INTRODUCTORY ANNUAL FEE FOR THE FIRST YEAR.
They replied stating I would get the annual fee back.
I'm happy to get it back but at the sametime I'm a bit disappointed that I had to jump through hoops to point out, "it's on your website"
