Amex delta product change

Can I do a product change to the HSBC American express card?

No.....HSBC is an Amex branded card, not one of their official ones. The cards you have to choose from are on their website. I've switched to blue with no problem, doesn't switch over until the 18 of this month so we'll see what happens.....

I've charged about 700 of my 1000 and plan to pay it in full.

Depends.  Do you think you could qualify for the card you want to backdoor into if you had applied for it directly?  If not, do you really want to be holding a card you don't qualify for when they decide to do an account review on you?

The Gold Delta Skymiles has no AF for the first year, so you have a full 12 months to decide.

TImothy, the AF on the Delta went from $85 to $95.  I saw this announcement on my statement a couple of months ago.

No AF for a year on the Gold Delta, after that it's 95 unless you have another qualifying Amex card, then it's 40 a year.  I'd keep it for 9 or 10 months, then do a change to Blue Cash.  Might keep you below the radar and give you a chance to establish a positive history with them.

Yes, this still applies.  Same with the hike in rates for costco cards.  If you joined before the rate rolled out, it still applies.  The fee will hit you. 

Annual fees billed on or after May 1st, 2008 are affected by the fee hike.

Classic $55.00 Gold $95.00 Platinum $150.00

The fees for linking have also increased.

I might do a product change from delta to blue in a few months to avoid the annual fee.
