Saw a blogger talking about downgrading from a PRG to Amex Everyday preferred. I'd love to be able to do that, but my understanding when the card was relesed was that you could not PC a PRG to AEP and that it had to be a new app instead. Have their been any chances in Amex's position?

as of last week it isn't possible i ended up having to downgrade my BCP to BCE , the only options i got were BCE, Blue SKy, and Blue sky preferred.

Hmm, so at this point my game plan will be to app in Jan for the Amex Everyday preferred. Close my PRG and downgrade my BCP to BCE. Then after the 61day CLI on my amex everyday preferred I will transfer my BCE credit line to the AEP and close the BCE.

I would be doing something similar waiting for 50k PRG bonus , use that for first year , then apply for EDP when AF approaches. My BCE is pretty much in sd mode. Going to try some experimentation if i dont use any amex card for long extended periods of time, will that initiate an signup bonus from amex.
