Amex offers AU double dipping?

Is it possible? Can both AU and Primary holder use same offer and get twice the reward?

I can't confirm, but I would think you couldn't because all charges go to the same account.  Their systems should easily catch that right away.

In the (recent) past I've been able to use an offer on my own Amex and my AU has used the same offer as well, and IIRC others have reported the same experience.

What you can't do is use the offer on another card with the same SS#, which would put it on the same dashboard.

I'm in same boat, from old posts thought you couldn't but wife and I have doubled up a couple in the last few months.

So basically they just shut down scammers not normal authorized users I'm guessing.

What they shut down was the ability for someone to use an Amex Offer on multiple cards, in most cases, anyway.

Previously most people weren't "scamming", they were just taking advantange of what the system allowed.  (There are extreme examples that would be considered 'scamming', but most people didn't fall into that category.)

Most offers are now simply restricted to once per cardmember/person - and an AU is considered a discrete cardmember for this purpose.
