If you don't do it now wait 2 months or so after they've seen use on the card.  If you click on the little arrow next to available credit you will see a link to request a credit limit increase

I agree with Irish. It's a crap shoot. And even if you wait 61 days they will approve you on the last sp they did behind your back, and if your score isn't at least the same or higher as it was when you were approved for the card, you will likely be denied. 

 

My wife was approved for the ED card with a $2500 limit and a 727 Ex Fico. But her last sp Fico before she asked for the cli was 698 because we had just taken our quarterly block of time off from our business and bought some new merchandise at a trade show that upped our utilization.  She was declined for the cli even with a 0 balance on the card.

 

I agree that these banks including Am Ex have tightened up.

Thanks swampy. I'm just gonna wait it out. 3000 is good enough for now. I really would like a cli from citi though. 1200 isn't cutting it.
