Hi guys I am working on my credit and will have the last negative mark ( CO from First Premiere) removed very soon. Im in Florida, does anyone no what buearu amex pulls from? What is the minimum score they need to grand you an amex everyday preferred card? I am intresting in this card first then eventually the platnum.

They exclusively pull EX, and Ive seen approvals lowers than your current EX score. Wait until you last baddie falls off, which you claim will be soon, and if its your only baddie left, your scores will increase!

They pull Experian for everything. Scores are borderline until you hit 700. You can use their pre qualify tool to see what you qualify for, on their site.

Thanks, yes i tried that and it said I did not qualify for anyting. However I have seen on this forum people who have gotten the same response but when they applied got approved. I guess I will wait and see if by the end of the year I get a preapproval from them by the mail.

Thanks yes I will most diffenetly wait till that comes off, to pull the trigger. I have also seen video on youtube were they give on advice to have them mail out an offer which will be better then whatever they offer on line currently. I guess I will be patiently waiting. Thanks

While people can get approved down into the 640s, the pre qual tool is basically a guarantee you'll be approved. But, that doesn't mean you can't still be denied.

Mailed offers aren't necessarily any better than online targeted offers or even regular public offers.  In fact, they can often be even better and more up-to-date!

I'm in Florida and they pulled Experian for me.

I got two Amex cards in the same day with a 675, only three lower limit credit cards, and 3 open collections (one old CC collection about to fall off, the other 2 were medical and pretty old as well).

I initially got the 7-10 day message on my first application (Amex ED) and immediately called for reconsideration. Approved for $4k.

Later that night, I apped for the BCE and was instantly approved for $4k. No hard pull for the second application.

With a 660 score the AMEX Everyday Preferred will be a stretch. You would qualify most probably for the Delta or Hilton cards.
