Got an email from CK asking if I had closed this account. No, I hadn't, but as expected, Comenity had. Apparently it was closed April 25th with no correspondence from Comenity. Online account simply states the account can't be used and to call CS with any questions. CL was $2900, last used in 2017 I believe. I actually was expecting the closure as Comenity had closed two other non-used cards back in February. Both had not been used in over two years. I had made a mental note to buy something on NY & Company and even marked my calendar to purchase something by the end of March. Unfortunately, I found nothing at all I was willing to buy to save the account and decided to let it be closed whenever Comenity got around to it. I imagine my Brylane Home account will be next. My adult daughters actively use my Overstock, VS, Wayfair, William Sonoma and Forever 21 accounts at least once a year. Never carry a balance on any of them so maybe they will survive. Comenity is cleaning house...use it or lose it!
Sorry , Comenity back at it but 2 years non use is a death sentence
Sorry for the closure.
Hmmm both mine and dh's comenity accounts were also closed April 25, must have been a big day for them..................................................
Sorry for your closeure .. Comenity has the Axe out!
My experience w Victoria Secret was 1 year no use and closed. This was from their fraud department after I had my card number used by someone else.
Thanks for the advice and I'm sorry this happened to you.
Don't feel bad... I just got a pop up from CK for an account I forgot I had that Comenity closed. "Your Tuition Solution Credit" from when my daughter took some AP classes at a private school to graduate early. Opened in 2017 with a $10K CL, used once for $3K and 0% financing and never touched again. (Never had an actual card, but it reported as a credit card.)
Comenity seems to be reclaiming all the unused CL's they can right now.
